EAT STATIC

Eat Static were formed in 1989 by Merv Pepler and Joie Hinton, then drummer and synth player respectively for the band Ozric Tentacles. The band made a name for themselves on the Megadog/’live’ techno scene of the early ’90s, playing alongside the likes of Orbital, Underworld and Aphex Twin. They were the first signings to Megadog-offshoot Planet Dog records, releasing their debut album ’Abduction’ in 1993. They have been voted ’Best Dance Act’ in the NME, achieved a top twenty album, headlined the first dance tent at Glastonbury in 1995 and recorded two Peel sessions. Whilst essentially a sci-fi influenced, trance/techno outfit, they have also incorporated drum and bass, breakbeat, latin, garage and ambient styles into their sound at various stages. In the past few years the band have become heavily involved with the psy-trance scene, playing parties and festivals the world over and releasing numerous tracks on trance compilations. www.myspace.com/eatstaticspace

GAUDI

Nominated for the “World Music Award 2008” with his new album ‘Dub Qawwali’, his music enables him to unify different forms of sound from around the world and represent them in his own personal style, while at the same time, most importantly, keeping the heart, integrity and significance of the cultural roots. SYSTEM 7

The dancefloor project of Steve Hillage and Miquette Giraudy. Their style hovers between trance, techno and progressive house with a unique spacey character that is deeply psychedelic, and the added element of Steve's highly specialised techno guitar. They also have a distinctive ambient element, which they've recently developed into a project called Mirror System. ZUBZUB

Zubzub is the funky fusion of epic psychedelia and tough beats created by ex Ozric bass player Zia. Live line up includes flutes from Jumping Jon (ex Ozrics), live guitar from the seasoned Alex Pym and the ultra-tight Mindflux on percussion and yet more synths! First formed some inexact time in the late nineties, zubzub has had a number of guest musicians for live and recorded stuff. NUCLEUS ROOTS

The formation of Nucleus Roots was the creation of a studio resource for the abundant vocal talents existing in Manchester UK that had little or no outlet. This created a live platform for the artists in the form of the Nucleus Roots Band. They now have a 2-fold formula; Nucleus Roots Sound System/Band, an explosive, authentic roots reggae/dub experience and the Nucleus Roots Production studio, which creates some of the most exciting, authentic, roots sounds in the UK.

OOOD

OOOD's first release was on Phantasm Records in 1996, with their side-project Unconscious Collective subsequently releasing one of Flying Rhino's biggest-selling tracks, 'Fluorostani Transcendance' later that year. Nowadays the dancefloor side of both acts is combined into OOOD. With up to 6 people on stage and musicianship of all kinds they have performed live (in various combinations) all over the world from New York to Japan via South Africa, Israel and of course the UK and Europe. www.myspace.com/oood

MOOD DELUXE

The Psy Breaks project of Brighton based artist and producer Cameron Leonard-Schroff aka Nagual Sound Experiment. Cameron plays live regualrly on the uk party circuit, offering a unique set of full spectrum, full on psychedelic dance music. MORDEKKERS

Kick Bong is the ambient project of Franck J. WIDESCREEN

Widescreen are a 3 piece electronic/flamenco world beat act. Originated by the 70's Prog/Classical Guitarist David Clark Allen of Carmen fame last year.  After Larry Lush joined as producer, a new recruit called Charlotte Medcalf, created a passionate approach to the band. Their music is a mix of Classical Spanish Flamenco, Electronic, Mediterranean and eastern European. ZETAN SPORE

Zetan Spore are a two-piece (twin brothers), high energy, psychedelic trance outfit from West Cornwall, UK. Since 1995, they have rapidly evolved to become one of the most original live dance acts around. Psychedelic funksters ‘BONZE’ are a diverse eruption from the swirling bowels of Kent. FAR TOO LOUD

Emerging from outer London, Far Too Loud are a UK breakbeat DJ/production colective, whose sound is a peak-time mix of heady psychadelia, tough basses and heavy funk. Ital Tek stalks the ground where electronica and dubstep meet, with a ponderous, melodic album with a few tricks up it's sleeve. He often uses the bass, which is often used as an instrument of brutality in dubstep as a melodic instrument, adding an easy and open emotional element to his tracks. He also employs lots of tricky rhythmic editing, which give the tracks and intense energy that contrasts well with the more delicate elements.
